PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conical roller bearing and its manufacturing method, which surely molds the conical roller bearing which functions as a hooking part, enhances assemblability of conical rollers, extends its length in roller axial direction, and increases a load rating. SOLUTION: The conical roller bearing is provided with: an inner ring 51; an outer ring 52; a plurality of conical rollers 53; a retainer 54 for holding the conical rollers 53 at a circumferentially predetermined interval; and a flange part 56 for guiding conical rollers 52 only on a large diameter side of an outer diameter surface of the inner ring 51. The retainer 54 is provided with: a resin retainer main body 61 provided with a large-diameter side annular part 54a, a small-diameter side annular part 54b and a pillar part 54c for connecting the large-diameter side annular part 54a and the small-diameter side annular part 54b; and a hooking member 62 for engaging with the flange part 56 of the inner ring 51. A circumferential groove 64 is provided in the large-diameter side annular part 54a of the retainer main body 61, and a fit-in part 68 fitted in the circumferential groove 64 is provided for the hooking member 62.
