摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recirculation device efficiently materializing great quantity of EGR while securing reliability of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The exhaust gas recirculation device includes a pressure wave supercharger (PWS) 110 connected to an engine (internal combustion engine) 120. A first recirculation pipe is attached to the PWS 110. Exhaust gas is introduced to the PWS 110 from a fourth exhaust pipe. Recirculation gas is pressure-boosted in the PWS 110 and is recirculated to an intake manifold 156 of the engine 120. A rotor 115 is rotated in the PWS 110. An electric motor 116 is used for rotating the rotor 115. The electric motor 116 is connected to ECU 170 and the ECU 170 controls rotation of the electric motor 116 according to pressure of exhaust gas. Energy added to the PWS 110 for boosting recirculation gas is limited to the energy for rotating the rotor 115. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
