A METHOD FOR DETECTING SIGNALS PRODUCED BY PARTIAL ELECTRIC DISCHARGES

A method for detecting signals produced by partial electric discharges occurring in an operating high voltage measuring transformer (1), connected to ground (2) by means of a conductive base (3), or in a medium or high voltage electric cable, comprises the following steps: - preparing a foldable antenna 10 able to detect high frequency signals; - folding the antenna (10) around said base (3) of the transformer or the cable at a detection station, such as completely to envelop it defining at least one turn; - connecting the antenna (10) to an instrument for measuring partial discharges to transfer the signals detected by the antenna (10) to said instrument.
