<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermochromic color-memory composition effectively developing a property to reversibly memorize and store color and applicable in various fields and to provide a thermochromic color-memory microcapsule pigment containing the composition. <P>SOLUTION: The thermochromic color-memory composition comprises (a) an electron-donating color-developing organic compound, (b) an electron accepting compound, and (c) a homogenous phase solution of a compound shown by formula (1) as a reaction medium to control the color-developing reaction of the compounds (a) and (b). The microcapsule pigment which includes the same is disclosed. In the formula, X shows either of a hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group, a methoxy group, or a halogen atom, m shows an integer of 1-3, and n shows an integer of 1-20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
