<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic brake and an electromagnetic clutch which can reduce a collision noise in engaging and disengaging an armature. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic brake 10 comprises the armature 11, a magnet york 15 for attracting the armature 11, an exciting coil 14 for magnetizing the magnet york 15, a disk 16, and a plate 12. A braking action is carried out by utilizing frictional forces among the armature 11, the disk 16, and the plate 12. A damper 32 composed of a container 30 containing a required amount of particles 31 is attached to the armature 11. The electromagnetic brake 10 is configured so that the damper 32 absorbs the impact force between the armature 11 and the magnet york 15 and the impact force among the armature 11, the disk 16, and the plate 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
