PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-cleaning member which can easily wash off deposits or contaminations having diverse properties attached to a surface only by exposing to a rainfall or flowing water and a coating composition using a manufacture thereof. SOLUTION: The self-cleaning member comprises a porous surface. In addition, the self-cleaning property can be exhibited in which a contact angle hysteresisΔθ(=θa-θr) which is a difference between an advance contact angleθa and a retreat contact angleθr in a surface layer, which is measured based on a measurement of a dynamic contact angle in an expanding-contracting method, is≥80°, and the retreat contact angleθr is≤25°.
