PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condenser and its assembling method capable of remarkably reducing and shortening construction costs and a construction period by minimizing components of a heat exchanger carried in a power generating unit, and simplifying an assembling method. SOLUTION: This condenser 1 for cooling and condensing exhaust steam from a steam turbine, comprises a condenser main body portion 10 receiving the exhaust steam from the steam turbine, and a heat exchanger unit 11 incorporated in the condenser main body portion 10. The heat exchanger unit 11 comprises a plurality of intermediate supporting plates 12b of divided structure successively incorporated in existing non-divided supporting plates 12a of the condenser main body portions in exchanging.
