Disclosed are a compound represented by the formula (I) below, a lubricant using the compound, and a magnetic disk using the compound. A-(CH<SUB>2</SUB>-Rf-CH<SUB>2</SUB>O-B-O)<SUB>n</SUB>-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-Rf-CH<SUB>2</SUB>-A (I) In the formula, n represents a real number of 1-4; A represents a group represented by the formula (a) below; and B represents a group represented by the formula (b) below. In this connection, p is 1 or 2, and R represents a C<SUB>1-4</SUB> fluoroalkyl group. Examples of Rf may include -CF<SUB>2</SUB>O(CF<SUB>2</SUB>CF<SUB>2</SUB>O)<SUB>x</SUB>(CF<SUB>2</SUB>O)<SUB>y</SUB>CF<SUB>2</SUB>- and -CF<SUB>2</SUB>CF<SUB>2</SUB>O(CF<SUB>2</SUB>CF<SUB>2</SUB>CF<SUB>2</SUB>O)<SUB>z</SUB>CF<SUB>2</SUB>CF<SUB>2</SUB>-, wherein x, y and z respectively represent a real number of 0-50.
