<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct oxidation type fuel cell having superior durability. <P>SOLUTION: The direct oxidation type fuel cell has at least one unit cell equipped with a membrane-electrode assembly having an electrolyte membrane, and an anode and a cathode which are arranged on both sides of the electrolyte membrane, respectively, and which includes a catalyst layer and a dispersion layer, an anode side separator having a fuel flow passage to supply fuel to the anode, and a cathode side separator having an oxidizer flow passage in order to supply an oxidizer containing oxygen gas to the cathode. The fuel flow passage and the oxidizer flow passage are constituted so that an oxygen gas concentration in the oxygen flow passage opposing an upstream of the fuel flow passage becomes higher than an oxygen gas concentration in the oxidizer flow passage opposing a downstream of the fuel flow passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
