<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic brake and an electromagnetic clutch which can reduce a collision noise in disengaging an armature. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic brake 10 comprises the armature 11, a magnet york 15 for attracting the armature 11, an exciting coil 14 for magnetizing the magnet york 15, a disk 16, and a plate 12. A braking action is carried out by utilizing frictional forces among the armature 11, the disk 16, and the plate 12. The disk 16 is configured so as to comprise two axially split disk pieces 16a, 16c, and a damping material 16b which is held between the disk pieces 16a, 16c, and so as to absorb the impact forces among the armature 11, the disk 16, and the plate 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
