PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly guide a retractive point according to the situation of following vehicles travelling behind one's own vehicle. SOLUTION: A driving support device 10 for vehicle includes: an index value computing means computing an index value which indicates degree of congestion of following vehicles traveling behind one's own vehicle; a retractive point searching means searching a retractive point existing ahead of the traveling lane of the own vehicle and capable of yielding the lane to the following vehicles; and a retractive point guide means guiding the retractive point searched by the retractive point searching means when the index value computed by the index value computing means exceeds the predetermined value.
