PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always keep pressure-contact force between a magnetic head part and a magnetic card at a fixed necessary minimum value even when the tip of the magnetic head part is abraded or a thickness of the magnetic card varies. SOLUTION: The magnetic head mechanism for applying the dead weight of a weight 95 on the magnetic head part 60 equally at the two points of front and rear in a magnetic card conveying direction through a wire spring 90 extending in the magnetic card conveying direction is provided with a holding member 80 for holding the magnetic head part 60 from the side and penetrating the wire spring 90 through two upper points, support members 72 positioned in the front and rear in the magnetic card conveying direction of the magnetic head part 60 held by the holding member 80 to limit the downward or horizontal displacement of the wire spring 90, and a frame 50 having a card traveling groove part and the support member 72 integrated therewith. The side face of the support member 72 comes into contact with the inner surface of the weight 95 to limit the motion of the weight 95 only in its dead weight direction. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
