PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a walk sensor suitable for detecting walking in a short time, using a simple constitution, in a pedometer using the plurality of walk sensors that differ from each other in the sensing axes. SOLUTION: A CPU 108 calculates the number of steps, based on a walk signal from the walk sensor 101a, when a signal from the first walk detecting circuit 100a, including the walk sensor 101a with the first rank of priority is decided as being the walk signal. The CPU 108 calculates the number of steps, based on a walk signal from the walk sensor 101b, when a signal from the second walk detecting circuit 100b, including the walk sensor 101b with the sensing axis different from that of the walk sensor 101a is the walk signal, when the signal from the first walk detecting circuit 100a is decided as not being the walk signal, and changes the priority rank of the walk sensor 101b to a first rank.
