PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating handle for a game machine, which prevents a turning ring part from being retained at a desired turning position by foreign matter such as a coin without any difficulty in manufacturing the respective parts. SOLUTION: In this operating handle 1 for the game machine, the turning retaining preventing member 5A filling the whole periphery of a member space 61A between a body base part 2 and the turning ring part 3 is turnably disposed between them. The operating handle 1 is configured to keep the state where an inner open gap 62A is formed between the turning retaining preventing member 5A and the fixed base part 2 to enable the turning retaining preventing member 5A and the rotary ring part 3 to turn relative to the body base part 2 when the foreign matter C such as a coin is inserted into an outer open gap 62B between the turning retaining preventing member 5A and the turning ring part 3, and the turning retaining preventing member 5A and the turning ring part 3 are brought into close contact and integrated with each other.
