<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a recording mark capable of more surely obtaining a properly reproduced signal quality, while suppressing the number of recording parameters used. <P>SOLUTION: In a recording parameter setting portion 21, a pulse string for forming a recording mark having a first predetermined recording mark length to a maximum recording mark length includes a leading portion including a leading pulse, a terminating-end portion including a cooling period, and an intermediate portion constituted of an intermediate period being a period between the leading portion and the terminating-end portion. A recording parameter is constituted of a group of recording parameters of the leading portion for controlling the heat of the front edge in the recording mark and a cooling start position in the cooling period for controlling the heat of a rear edge in the recording mark, and a second predetermined recording mark length is longer than the first predetermined recording mark length. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
