<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode board for a battery which enables manufacturing of a battery having a high battery capacity that hardly drops even when charging/discharging is repeated. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode board for the battery is formed by coating the surface of a base material made of a woven fabric or nonwoven fabric made of a resin with a metal. According to this electrode board, the surface area per unit volume (specific surface area) of the base material is ≤0.15 m<SP>2</SP>/cm<SP>3</SP>, and the weight per square meter of the metal is 150 to 250 g/m<SP>2</SP>.
