<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract and reproduce only a period when figures to notice appear among figures appearing in video content on a screen. <P>SOLUTION: In a step S3, object content for generating a figure digest playlist is divided into prescribed sections. In a step S4, a list of figures who appear in the object content and a figure list showing respective appearance times are generated. In a step S5, a figure to notice is determined, sections where the figure to notice appears are connected to generate a figure digest playlist.
