<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably improve brightness in a prescribed direction by improving visibility to a plurality of the prescribed directions except for a front face direction to a screen and suppressing leakage light except for the prescribed direction in an optical member, a backlight unit and a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The optical member includes: a micro-lens array member 3 arranged in parallel to the surface side of a surface light source and two-dimensionally arraying a plurality of protrusion-like micro-lens 2; and a light reflection layer part 5 arranged on the rear face of the micro-lens array member 3. An optical window 6 composing an imaging optical system condensed on the protrusion-like micro-lenses 2 mutually adjacent through radiation light from the surface light source respectively is formed on the light reflection layer part 5 by regarding the surface light source as a focal position. The optical window 6 shifts a center axis 6a from a top part 2a of the protrusion-like micro-lens 2 and is opened to arrange the center axis 6a between the top parts 2a of the mutually adjacent protrusion-like micro-lenses 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
