PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detection system of high position detection accuracy. SOLUTION: In the system using wireless LAN (Local Area Network), a reference terminal 106 whose position is known (true position) is fixed to and installed in a position detection area, and a server 105 simultaneously detects the positions of a mobile terminal 107 whose position is to be detected and the reference terminal 106 using a TDOA (Time Difference of Arrival) method via base stations 102, 103 and 104. Then, position detection result of the mobile terminal 107 is corrected using the difference between the position detection result of the reference terminal 106 and the true position.
