PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device for a motor, which solves the problem of leakage of an MR fluid and base oil, by arranging an internal pressure adjusting mechanism, in the brake device for the motor using a magnetic fluid. SOLUTION: This brake device for the motor is provided for applying braking force to a brake disc by magnetizing the magnetic fluid by applying a magnetic field to the magnetic fluid, by filling a sealed space with the magnetic fluid, by arranging the brake disc in the sealed space formed of a yoke member, by installing the brake disc on a motor shaft of the motor. The volume of the sealed space 3 formed of the yoke member 22 is variably constituted, and internal pressure in the sealed space 3 is adjustably constituted in response to a volume variation in the magnetic fluid 4.
