PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 4 cycle engine capable of effectively reducing pump loss in a wide engine rotation speed range. SOLUTION: The engine 20 is provided with a plurality of crank chambers 25A, 25B, 25C, 25D dividing an inside of a crank case 24, a plurality of pistons 32A, 32B, 32C, 32D reciprocating in mutually different phases, air channels 51, 52 connecting a plurality of the crank chamber and allowing air flow between the plurality of connected crank chambers, and an air chamber 53 provided in a middle of the air channel.
