PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boarding assist device for cars conveniently used when a person gets on and gets off a vehicle, by avoiding the need for making him/her temporarily get off the vehicle and stand on the floor surface of a parking lot when he/she gets on or gets off the vehicle. SOLUTION: This vehicle boarding assist device assists a person in getting on and getting off a car C in the parking lot 11 disposed adjacently to a house 10. The vehicle boarding assist device applied when a floor surface 16a of a dirt floor 16 of the house 10 is in a position higher than the floor surface 11a of the parking lot 11 comprises a transfer base 20, and a movement mechanism which is composed of an electric motor 23, a wheel 21, etc., for moving the transfer base 20. The transfer base 20 has a floor surface 20a which continues from a flat floor surface 17a of a slope 17 as a part of the floor surface 16a of the dirt floor. Additionally, the movement mechanism is constituted so that the moving direction of the transfer base 20 can be the width direction of a gap L2 between an entrance opening of the car C and the dirt floor 16.
