This invention provides a cooling cycle system (61) comprising a coolant compressor (1) for compressing a coolant, a condenser (10) for cooling and condensing the coolant compressed by the coolant compressor (1), a liquid receiver (11) for receiving a coolant condensed in the condenser (10), an expanding mechanism (18) for expanding the coolant from the liquid receiver (11), an evaporating mechanism (19) for conducting heat exchange with the coolant expanded by the expanding mechanism (18) to cool a cooling object and to evaporate the coolant to be supplied into the coolant compressor (1), and an auxiliary cooling mechanism (62) provided with a pipe (47), for allowing an auxiliary coolant to be passed therethrough, which is extended through the liquid receiver (11). In this auxiliary cooling mechanism (62), the coolant is heat exchanged with the auxiliary coolant being passed through the pipe (47) to cool the coolant within the liquid receiver (11) before the start of the coolant compressor (1). According to the above constitution, the necessary electric power is reduced at the start of the coolant compressor, and the coolant compressor can be stably started even when a drive source, which is small in torque caused upon the starting, is used.
