The present invention provides a method of resurfacing a fuser member (110) in-situ. The method includes providing a fuser member (110) having an outer surface (112) of a high temperature fluorothermoplastic. When it is determined that the outer surface (112) is in need of resurfacing, the fuser member (110) is rotated at a speed of at least lrpm while engaging the outer surface (112) of the fuser member (110) with at least one heating roller (140, 150) at a pressure of at least 5 psi at a temperature of at least 1O°C below the fluorothermoplastic melting temperature for a time sufficient to resurface of the outer surface (112) of the fuser member (110).
