FIELD: agriculture. ^ SUBSTANCE: agromat is presented a system with multiple layers at least three layers. Agromat comprises reinforcing layers and a filler layer placed between each two reinforcing layers and connected to them. The filler layer contains plant seeds. Reinforcing layers are made as woven or nonwoven fabrics or fine meshes with cells 3/5 mm in size manufactured from decomposing natural or artificial chemical fibres. Agromat can be manufactured from decomposable fibres with addition of indecomposable or slightly decomposable artificial fibres to create growth medium for plants during biodecomposition. Surface density of the reinforcing layers amounts to 50/300 g/m2. The filler layer contains natural or artificial moisture retaining components and nutritional mix in addition to the plant seeds content of which accounts for 40/150 g/m2. The mix is composed of mineral and/or organic fertilisers, plant growth promoters and soil-forming bioadditives. Content of nutritional mix in the filler amounts to 20/300 g/m2, and that of moisture-retaining components - to 0.75/10.5 kg/m2. ^ EFFECT: high water-retaining capacity during the formation period of stable natural land cover, protection of the ground surface from erosion and safety of plant seeds during germination. ^ 8 cl, 1 tbl
