PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently execute warming-up operation of a motor. SOLUTION: A motor device is provided with: an almost-cylindrical stator 10, in which each coil 13 is arranged along the peripheral face; a housing 1 for storing the stator 10; a rotor 20 rotatably supported inside the arranged coils 13; and power supply means 31, 32 that generate a rotating magnetic field while supplying power to the coils 13 to rotate the rotor 20. Oil having at least a cooling or lubricating function is sealed in the housing. The coils are formed into a first coil group 310 and a second coil group 320 having a smaller area immersed into the oil than that of the first coil group 310. The power supply means 31, 32 further preferentially supply power to the first coil group 310 than to the second coil group 320 during warming-up operation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
