PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent scattering of wear powder of a brake pad or the like. SOLUTION: In the brake pad 10, collection grooves 12a are formed in a press-contact surface 12c to be brought into press-contact with a disk rotor so as to extend in the radial direction of the disk rotor. Accumulation holes 12b are connected to end portions of the collection grooves 12a and are formed to extend through a friction member 12 from the press-contact surface 12c to a surface joined to a back metal 14. Discharge holes 14a are arranged coaxially with the accumulation holes 12b and are formed to extend through the back metal 14 from a surface joined to the friction member 12 to the rear surface 14b. The discharge holes 14a each has a circular cross-section as viewed in a direction vertical to the axial direction, and the diameter of the cross-section gradually becomes smaller toward the rear surface 14b in the axial direction.
