PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deck material fixture wherein the deck material fixture itself can excellently fix a deck material to a floor joist, and a deck material fixture installation method. SOLUTION: The deck material fixture 1 and the deck material fixture 1 installation method are applied for fixing the deck material 40 to the floor joist 30 protruded at least to one side in the width direction of a flat setting section 31 on which the deck material 40 is set. The deck material fixture 1 is provided with a lock means 10 for locking the deck material 40 from the side face 42 side, and can be inserted to the setting section 31 of the floor joist 30 from one side in the width direction of the floor joist 30, and can be retained and inhibited from coming off.
