<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk (optical memory element) which has high recording density and wherein complicated reproduction processing is not needed. <P>SOLUTION: A reference information unit 61 having a phase pit 3/4 having predetermined arrangement is formed on the optical disk 1 which has at least one phase pit 3/4 and wherein a plurality of information units 5 reflecting reflection light according to the arrangement of the phase pit 3/4 when being irradiated with light are provided at an equal interval on an information track. When the optical disk 1 is reproduced, the number of pits recorded in the information units 5 is specified by comparing a reflection light quantity from the information units 5 with a reflection light quantity from the reference information unit 61. Since arrangement of the pits of the information units 5 can be roughly classified, identification processing of arrangement of the pits recorded in the information units 5 can be simplified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
