<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium reader and an initial setting program for it allowing a customer company to easily determine setting of an IC card reader at its installation. <P>SOLUTION: In the storage medium reader, information stored in a non-contact IC card 30 is read from a non-contact IC card transmitting part 16, identification is attempted on the read information, based on a plurality of types of identification modes stored in a read pattern storage part 152; and according to an identified identification mode, initial setting is carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
