<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document output system and method, which outputs, as a single job, data generated by a plurality of applications. <P>SOLUTION: A virtual port receives output data from each of a plurality of applications, which are associated with the virtual port. Then, received output data is stored. Then, a display screen is created for displaying a plurality of document images corresponding to the stored output data, and is displayed. Then, instruction data is received which is related to operation of the stored output data and corresponds to the created display screen.
