PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device of film heating type in which a fixing film or pressure roller is prevented from slipping on a sheet material while securely applying heat to an image on the sheet material with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The image heating device includes: a flexible fixing film 22; a ceramic heater 23 that slides on the inner circumferential face of the fixing film 22; a stay member 21 which is disposed inside the fixing film 22, to which the ceramic heater 23 is attached, and which slides on the inner circumferential face of the fixing film 22 to guide the rotation of the fixing film 22. In the image heating device, the sliding face between the stay member 21 and the fixing film 22 is roughened, and the ten-point average roughness Rzjis of the sliding face is 10 μm or larger.
