PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve continuity of illumination in a fluorescent lamp or the like with lamp pins on a side face of an arc tube or the like and arranged in series. SOLUTION: At least a part of an end face 13a of the arc tube 11a is inclined to a cylinder axis 14a of the tube 11a, the fluorescent lamp is formed in a shape to complementarily compensating a gap between end faces 13a of facing two adjoining arc tubes 11a, which are at least partially overlapped and faced to be viewed from a perpendicular direction to a long-side direction of the arc tube 11a.
