PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure cooker capable of securely preventing malfunction of a pressure regulating means. SOLUTION: The pressure cooker includes a body 11 for heating a cooking pot (a rice boiling pot 10) which is detachably housed in the body by a heating means, and a lid body 20 disposed openably/closably in the body 11 for sealing an upper end opening of the cooking pot 10. A through hole 69 communicating with the inside of the cooking pot 10 is disposed in the lid body 20, and the pressure regulating means (a pressure pump 90) for regulating the pressure inside the cooking pot 10 is disposed in the body 11 or the lid body 20. The spout side of the pressure regulating means is connected to the through hole 69. A check valve 72 for preventing the flow from the cooking pot 10 to the pressure regulating means 90 is disposed between the through hole 69 and the pressure regulating means 90.
