PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for a hanging structure building capable of being constructed in a short period of time. SOLUTION: This construction method comprises: a step of constructing a horizontal member 10; a step of installing a horizontal-member lifter 110 capable of lifting the horizontal member 10; a step of lifting the horizontal member 10 up to a height enabling the field assembling of the beam floor member 40 and hanging column 50 of the uppermost story within the range of the predetermined number of stories, below the horizontal member 10, by using the lifter 110; a step of connecting the beam floor member 40 of the uppermost story within the range of the predetermined number of stories below the horizontal member 10 via the hanging column 50 of the uppermost story; a step of lifting the horizontal member 10 up to a height enabling the field assembling of the beam floor member 40 and hanging column 50 of the operation target story, below the lowermost-story beam floor member 40 held in a hanging state by the horizontal member 10, in such a manner that the respective stories, except the uppermost story, among the stories within the range of the predetermined number of stories are set as the operation target stories in an order from the upper stories to the lower ones, by using the lifting/lowering device 110; and a step of connecting the beam floor member 40 of the operation target story below the beam floor member 40 of the story directly above the operation target story via the hanging column 50 of the operation target story.
