PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a new protein having an amino acid sequence enabling a protein to be specifically and efficiently immobilized to a solidified carrier through a carboxy terminus. SOLUTION: The method for producing the protein having an amino acid sequence represented by the general formula: S1-R1-R2, wherein the sequence of the R1 part is an amino acid sequence of a protein originated from a natural product, or an amino acid sequence obtained by substituting the whole lysine and cysteine residues in the amino acid sequence with amino acid residues except the lysine and cysteine residues, modified to the amino acid sequence free from the lysine and cysteine residues, and being the amino acid sequence of a protein having functions equal to the protein originated from the natural product.
