<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device management system for controlling power for an unused communication path to suppress power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: This device management system has: a printer PR outputting prescribed information; a first connection means (a communication part 21) connecting the printer PR to a network N; a first shifting means (a control part 12) shifting to one of two or more preset power-saving modes; a scanner SC outputting the prescribed information; a second connection means (a communication part 11) connecting the scanner SC to the printer PR via the network N; a second shifting means (the control part 12) shifting to one of the two or more preset power-saving modes; a confirmation means (a control part 23) confirming operation states of the connection means; a selection means (the control part 23) selecting one of the power-saving modes based on a confirmation result; and a control means (the control part 23) controlling the transfer means to shift to the selected power-saving mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
