<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of operating performance and deterioration of exhausting performance when changing a combustion form from compressed self-ignition type combustion to spark ignition type combustion, in a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of implementing the spark ignition type combustion and the compressed self-ignition type combustion. <P>SOLUTION: In the middle of a change from compressed self-ignition type combustion to spark ignition type combustion, an intake pipe pressure in the downstream of the throttle is quickly reduced by making a throttle opening smaller for a fixed period of time than the target throttle opening of the spark ignition type combustion immediately after the throttle opening is changed, and thereby, response of the amount of intake air during the change of the combustion form from the compressed self-ignition type combustion to the spark ignition type combustion is improved, and combustion change causing no aggravation of exhaust and no fluctuation of torque can be realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
