<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To timely perform recommendation of an additional printing copy number such that loss by return or disposal of a book, or sales opportunity loss is minimized. <P>SOLUTION: A publication management server 300 functions as this additional printing recommendation processing system deciding whether additional printing of the book is necessary or not, and recommending the additional printing. The publication management server 300 includes: a necessary copy number calculation part 306 calculating a necessary copy number after a prescribed period lapses based on a prescribed period sales prediction copy number sold during the prescribe period from the present; and a recommendation additional printing copy number calculation part 308 outputting a first additional printing candidate copy number as the recommendation additional printing number when the first additional printing candidate copy number obtained by subtracting a stock copy number from the necessary copy number after the prescribed period lapses is larger than zero and is not larger than a second additional printing candidate copy number obtained by subtracting the stock copy number and a cumulative sales copy number from a final sales prediction copy number, and outputting the second additional printing candidate copy number as the recommendation additional printing copy number when the first additional printing candidate copy number and the second additional printing candidate copy number are respectively larger than zero and when the second additional printing candidate copy number is larger than the first additional printing candidate copy number. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
