<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of restraining infiltration of dust into parts arranged inside the projector to the maximum. <P>SOLUTION: The projector which modulates light from a light source to an optical image by a video display element and projects the optical image from a projection lens is equipped with at least a housing equipped with the light source and the video display device, a suction port and an exhaust port formed on the surface of the housing, and a duct provided on the outside of the housing and connecting the suction port and the exhaust port.
