<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal insertion device capable of surely inserting a terminal fitting without catching the terminal fitting on the inside surface of a terminal housing chamber. <P>SOLUTION: This terminal insertion device 1 is provided with a housing holding unit 12, an insertion unit 14 and a control device 15. The housing holding unit 12 holds a connector housing 3 movably in the horizontal and vertical directions. The insertion unit 14 inserts the terminal fitting 6 attached to a wire 5 into the terminal housing chamber of the connector housing 3. After the insertion unit 14 inserts a tip of the terminal fitting 6 into the terminal housing chamber, the control device 15 moves a holding tool 27 to a movement support part 26 of the housing holding unit 12 by distances 1A-10A, 1B-10B to prevent the terminal fitting 6 from being caught on the inside surface of the terminal housing chamber, and thereafter inserts the terminal fitting 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
