PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin bag having a meeting portion and laid lengthwise, the bag being designed so as to keep the form of the bag hexahedral by a low-cost, simple manufacturing process. SOLUTION: The synthetic resin bag having a meeting portion is formed such that a gusset film 4 is interposed between two body films 1a and 1b, front and back, and in each of the ends of the two body films 1a and 1b, side seals 2 are formed, and an opening through which the content is taken out is defined in the meeting portion 3 extending from the body films 1a and 1b. In such a synthetic resin bag, a shape retaining sheet 5 made of resin is disposed over the entire face of each of the two opposite sides in order to retain the hexahedral form.
