PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a pneumatic tire, capable of ameliorating the collapse of a bead core and improving uniformity and driving stability, and to provide the pneumatic tire. SOLUTION: In a green tire, a steel wire w of the bead core 6', which is formed by annularly winding the steel wire w coated with the unvulcanized rubber 13' and stacking it in the radial direction of the tire, is composed of a formed steel wire having a curvature radius of≥0.70 R and≤1.00 R based on the inside diameter 2R of the bead core 6 of the already-vulcanized tire. The unvulcanized rubber 13' for coating the steel wire w contains a≥70 pts.wt. natural rubber and 95-125 pts.wt. carbon black per 100 pts.wt. rubber. The unvulcanized rubber of an auxiliary rubber layer 8' arranged between the bead core 6' and a carcass layer 5' contains 45-70 pts.wt. carbon black per 100 pts.wt. rubber.
