Disclosed is a method for producing a core/shell-type inorganic fluorescent substance particle having a high luminous intensity.Also disclosed is a compound labeled with a fluorescent substance, which is prepared by using the core/shell-type inorganic fluorescent substance particle, and which has an improved detection performance against a biological molecule. The method for producing the core/shell-type inorganic fluorescent substance particle comprises the steps of: forming a core particle comprising a semiconductor nano-crystal; and covering the surface of the core particle with a shell comprising a semiconductor. The method is characterized by involving the step of carrying out any one post-treatment selected from a treatment with plasma, a treatment with heat, a treatment with a radioactive ray and a treatment with an ultrasonic wave after the shell is formed.
