<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of instantaneously indicating the abnormality when the abnormality occurs in the apparatus by the use of sound while preventing such speech playback that guidance speech breaks off. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 10 includes: a speech codec IC 21 which is connected to a bus 26 through which respective signals for performing image formation and information by the use of sound are transmitted, and which can perform output (first information) of buzzer sound without via the bus 26 and playback (second information) of guidance speech via the bus 26; and a CPU 11 allowing the speech codec IC 21 to output the buzzer sound or play back the guidance speech in accordance with the busy state of the bus 26 when the abnormality of the apparatus is detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
