<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixed potential type NOx sensor excelling in NOx detection accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: This mixed potential type NOx sensor is constituted of a gas detection chamber 3 with a measured gas introduced thereinto, and a sensor cell 2 for detecting NO<SB>2</SB>concentration in the measured gas introduced into the detection chamber 3. The sensor cell 2 is provided with a solid electrolytic body 21 for an oxygen ion conductive sensor, a detection electrode 22 disposed on a surface of the electrolytic body 21 on the detection chamber 3 side and being active at least with respect to oxygen and NOx, and a reference electrode 23 active at least with respect to oxygen, and is structured so as to detect the concentration of NO<SB>2</SB>based on the size of an electric potential difference between the detection electrode 22 and the reference electrode 23. In the detection chamber 3, an oxygen pump electrode 42 is disposed which is one electrode of an oxygen pump cell 4 discharging oxygen in the vicinity of the detection electrode 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
