PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus improving the visibility of a screen by enlarging a display part, improving the operability of an operation part, reducing the size of the apparatus, and preventing a read image from being deteriorated. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 201 is provided with a display part 102 which is arranged in an image reading part 101 and displays a plurality of operation target images and a moving image for selecting the operation target images, and an operation part 103 for operating the movement of the moving image. The image forming apparatus 201 is further provided with a display image position detection means 204 for detecting the position of the moving image on the display part 102 and a display image selection determination part 205 for determining the contents of the operation target image existing on the position of the moving image which is detected by the display image position detection means 204.
