PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graph drawing device and method for efficiently designating arbitrary two variables between a plurality of variables belonging to a certain data group and a plurality of variables belonging to another data group, and for easily displaying correlations between the two variables at a glance.

SOLUTION: A matrix display region 4c for displaying m×n elements in a matrix shape and a graph display region 4d for displaying a graphic image are set on the same display screen 4, and statistics of m×n is calculated between m variables belonging to a first data group and n variables belonging to a second data group, and displayed as elements for an n×m matrix in a matrix display region 4c, and a graphic image 3c showing a relation between the variables belonging to the first data group and the variables belonging to a second data group corresponding to matrix elements 3b designated by a matrix element designation part is created and displayed in the graphic display region 4d on the display screen.
