<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the amount of water of a fuel cell to be accurately ascertained in the case of an antifreeze liquid being used for cooling the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes: an antifreeze liquid temperature measurement device 44 for measuring a temperature of an antifreeze liquid; an antifreeze liquid concentration measurement device 45 for measuring a concentration of the antifreeze liquid; and an arithmetic processing section 7a for calculating a weight of the antifreeze liquid in a fuel cell 2 from the results of the temperature and concentration of the antifreeze liquid, wherein scavenging processing is started after operational halt of the fuel cell 2, and the scavenging processing is stopped when the remaining amount of water in the fuel cell 2 is less than a predetermined amount. The remaining amount of water of the fuel cell 2 can be obtained by subtracting a stack weight of the fuel cell 2 and the calculated weight of the antifreeze liquid from the total weight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
