<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a storage area for storing the information of a fault diagnostic model. <P>SOLUTION: When the causal relation of the generation of any obstacle in the portion components of equipment being the object of fault diagnosis is changed in the operation mode of the equipment, a causal network showing the causal relation (causal relation shown with a solid line arrow in the figure) of fault generation in components when the equipment is put in a first operation mode is stored as the main body data of a fault diagnostic model, and information showing the causal relation (causal relation shown with a broken line arrow in the figure) with the other nodes when the equipment is put in a second operation mode is stored as the sub-data of the fault diagnostic model about the portion of components, and when the operation mode upon fault generation is the first operation mode, the main data of the fault diagnostic model are used as they are for performing fault diagnosis, and when the operation mode upon fault generation is the second operation mode, a portion of the main body data of the fault diagnostic model is replaced with the sub-data, and the replaced data are used for performing the fault diagnosis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
